What is reiki?

As this is my first blog I thought it best to start with a very simple subject – talking about reiki – what it is and how it can help you in your everyday life.

What is reiki?

If you haven’t already tried reiki you might be a little confused as to what it actually does and how you will feel afterwards. By offering a reiki healing session, I help people relax and release the pain in their body and/or mind, enabling them to feel better by finding peace on a mental, physical and sometimes spiritual level, depending on the person’s needs. Reiki is a non-invasive healing process that works at bringing us into balance and reinforces the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, (whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual), by clearing and balancing our energy fields. If our vital energy becomes weak or blocked by physical or emotional stress, this may lead to symptoms on a physical and/or emotional level.

What can it do for me?

Reiki offers support to a busy, troubled, stressed or anxious mind, enables sleep patterns to be restored, eases aches and pains, helps eating disorders, offers relaxation and physical relief during pregnancy and also provides a feeling of calmness and the ability to move on from worries, as well as helping you cope better with any problems you may be facing.

Does it work for animals?

Yes, animals love reiki, especially dogs and horses! It helps with any behavioural issues, aids a speedy recovery from illness and calms and relaxes a nervous animal.
